We would like to bring together isolated members of our local community to exercise, and make new friends, in a safe and welcoming space.

Grant to Mary's

"The fund aims to:1) To reduce closures of essential charities that provide essential services to vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 crisis by ensuring they have the financial resources to operate, thereby reducing the burden on public services.2) To ensure essential services are provided to vulnerable people, both in the short and long term through increased community support through the work of charitable organisations."

Coronavirus Community Support Fund

COVID19 - A project of online activities and relevant workshops for young people living in areas of deprivation and are isolated due to the impact of covid-19. It will increase their confidence and support them to stay connected in their communities.

Grant to St Mary Islington Community Partnership (also known as Mary's)

NET, Comic Relief and Children in Need will use this funding to provide: increased support to vulnerable people and hidden groups, thus reducing the burden on public services; reach local grassroots and small organisations who can provide an on-the-ground community response to the crisis; and, support local charitable organisations to mobilise volunteers to enable better targeted support in communities through empowered local groups.

VSCE CMC Fund

The project will deliver new fitness classes for people who are experiencing the effects of social and financial disadvantage. The aim is to reduce isolation and improve physical wellbeing.

Multi-Year Grant (2 Years) award

‘Cost of Living uplift: £500 to help projects meet their rising costs and respond to increased demand 31/10/2022’ This project will provide youth club activities including creative, life skills and summer residentials for young people living in areas of deprivation. It will increase employment opportunities, skills and develop relationships.

Main Grants award

This is a development of a project to deliver a range of activities for disadvantaged 13 to 25 year olds from the London boroughs of Islington, Haringey, Hackney and Camden. Activities will cover four main categories known as hubs: employability, health and fitness, creative expression and life skills. This project will support 700 YP over three years.

Mary’s Youth Club welcomes young people aged between 10 – 19, offering a friendly, open youth club with opportunities to share, grow, learn and enjoy.
