The wider aim of the scheme is: This scheme is part of the Culture Recovery Fund, the Governments £1.57 billion support package to protect the countrys cultural, arts and heritage organisations. Historic England is offering grant funding as part of the Heritage Stimulus Fund, capital funding which forms part of the support package. This encompasses a number of grant funds to help the heritage sector recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. "The fund aims to:1) To reduce closures of essential charities that provide essential services to vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 crisis by ensuring they have the financial resources to operate, thereby reducing the burden on public services.2) To ensure essential services are provided to vulnerable people, both in the short and long term through increased community support through the work of charitable organisations."

This project will provide access to safe, green open space, with high quality, free meals for those that need it most during a period when we know, food poverty is at its highest.

This funding will support the Youth Programme which provides ongoing opportunities for young people to have positive role models in their peers and staff and benefit from mentoring.

COVID19 -The funding request is to support Coram's Fields Youth Programme for the next 6 months in reaching and supporting at risk, vulnerable young people (8-19) across Camden and Islington to:- support and improve their physical and mental health through this difficult period,- support their employability/education prospects,- support development of core life skills,- reduce isolation- divert away from youth offending/anti-social behaviourDepending on government guidelines for our schedules, this will involve:- a holistic programme of digital support and activities (via WhatsApp, Instagram, HouseParty) which we are already delivering in collaboration with local partners and want to expand to reach more young people. We have reached over 150 young people since lockdown, and support on average 20 young people per day.- one to one regular case work and support for those most in need, the demand for which has increased significantly due to the closure of group sessions at our Youth Centre.- outreach with music activities and production, art work, employment support, sports activities in high-need areas (WC1, EC1, NW1, WC2 and NW5).Over the next 6 months we will be targeting 8-19 year-olds with a focus on those who are vulnerable, for example known to Social Care/Youth Offending/Early Help or with needs identified by us such as having no technology at home, overcrowding at home or NEET. Our targeted work will also focus on girls and young women, and over half of the young people we regularly support are from BAME backgrounds. Since closing our services engagement has been:38% White 62% BAME (26% Black 11% Asian 16% Mixed 9% Other)28% Muslim54% FemaleWe need vital funding for our Youth Programme for costs including staff salaries to meet demand, online tools, training, outreach materials and overheads.

Main Grants award - COVID19 response

NET, Comic Relief and Children in Need will use this funding to provide: increased support to vulnerable people and hidden groups, thus reducing the burden on public services; reach local grassroots and small organisations who can provide an on-the-ground community response to the crisis; and, support local charitable organisations to mobilise volunteers to enable better targeted support in communities through empowered local groups.

VSCE CMC Fund

Support for Young people from Camden and neighbouring boroughs with a digital programme of and 1-1 support – many of whom are at risk of anti-social behaviour/youth violence, or may be out of education/employment. The support we provide may not be food or shelter, but we know it is vital to the wellbeing of local young people, especially those from vulnerable households.

Coram’s Fields Sport Programme aims to provide young people an array of exciting sporting activities.

SHAF grant to Coram's Fields

Towards a new piece of play equipment at the Coram’s Fields playground. The boulder climbing wall will replace the Timber Tangle, the largest piece of equipment on the playground site, with a landmark, bespoke climbing wall, voted for by local children. The addition of this new piece will bring a large area of the playground back in public use, increasing the diversity of th erange of equipment on offer, and will encouarge more children, through enjoyment of play, to be physically active.

Coram’s Fields Youth Programme aims to provide disadvantaged young people with the support and guidance they need to achieve their aspirations.

Coram’s Fields project is to run two large-scale community events in 2019 for the benefit of children and young people: Play Day and Fireworks Night to bring together thousands of people from across south Camden from all walks of life, with the specific aim of fostering social cohesion.



Eco audit to Coram's Fields & Harmsworth Memorial Playground

The Inner Strength project will bring together partners to support young men involved in, and at risk of being involved in, serious youth violence in Camden and Islington. The project will provide both youth casework support, whilst working alongside a clinical psychologist to help identify and support the mental health issues that the young men face. Through addressing these they aim to improve the long term wellbeing and opportunities for the young men. A grant will support a Senior Youth Worker to lead and coordinate the support to young men across the partners, it will also support additional music and employability sessions for them and contribute to the overheads and management.

The project aims to train a member of staff to moderate and accredit 25 portfolios and to award bronze and silver art awards.

An open access 7 acre children's playground and children's centre with an after school club and holiday activities and sports programme for children up to 16 years and a youth centre for 13-19 year olds.  1000 children daily in summer from diverse local community of south Camden. Grade II listed site formerly the Foundling Hospital site. Adults must have a child with them to come in.
