Summer Holiday Programme

The group will use the funding to a variety of positive social activities for young people during the school holidays. This will bring people together and reduce social isolation and boredom during the holidays.

VSCE CMC Fund

NET, Comic Relief and Children in Need will use this funding to provide: increased support to vulnerable people and hidden groups, thus reducing the burden on public services; reach local grassroots and small organisations who can provide an on-the-ground community response to the crisis; and, support local charitable organisations to mobilise volunteers to enable better targeted support in communities through empowered local groups.

Delivering meals for up to 200 local people and families . (Covid-19)

This 14-month project expands the after-school provision ‘The Zone’ for 8-13 year olds to meet the needs of its older participants. 'Secondary Zone' provides a year of daily after-school youth club session during term time for local children and young people aged 11-13 in Queens Park, North Westminster, providing support, guidance and age-appropriate activities in their own safe space. Youth workers provide stimulating activities including sports, cooking, music production, radio broadcasting and cultural trips. Young people benefit from the free recreational activities, socialising and building friendships for life with others in their local area. They can shape and develop the project via regular feedback sessions.

The Avenues Youth Project: Core Funding for CEO

The Avenues Youth Project is a youth centre in North Westminster that encourages local young people to value positive choices and healthy mental and physical health. The funding will be used to secure the CEO's role, which will provide stability to the organisation and in turn its beneficiaries.

‘Cost of Living uplift: £500 to help projects meet their rising costs and respond to increased demand 31/10/2022’ A five day per week after school club for young people experiencing local deprivation including poor quality housing and poverty. The project aims to improve children’s social skills, emotional resilience and self-esteem.

We aim to provide enriching holiday activities and a residential adventure week for young people aged 8-18 living in this deprived part of W.London who could otherwise be home alone or roaming the streets. We also provide daily hot meals, often with professional cooking and nutritional tuition.
