This 14-month project expands the after-school provision ‘The Zone’ for 8-13 year olds to meet the needs of its older participants. 'Secondary Zone' provides a year of daily after-school youth club session during term time for local children and young people aged 11-13 in Queens Park, North Westminster, providing support, guidance and age-appropriate activities in their own safe space. Youth workers provide stimulating activities including sports, cooking, music production, radio broadcasting and cultural trips. Young people benefit from the free recreational activities, socialising and building friendships for life with others in their local area. They can shape and develop the project via regular feedback sessions.
