Led by Groundwork North and South Tyneside this project will expand its current offer of recycling re-using and selling bulky waste items. The group will partner with South Tyneside Council and Our One Community to pilot a system of redirecting bulky waste (large domestic items) from the local waste and recycling centre. The project will deliver training as well as upskilling members of the community to repair recycle resell and re-use items. The aim is to change consumer patterns and shift behaviours and attitudes towards waste and create a circular economy.
