Recipient of Stronger Communities grant funding which supports sport and physical activity projects tackling increased levels of social isolation and loneliness as a consequence of COVID-19.

Grant to Next Top Role Model

We will create a youth learning hub, to hold weekly CV clubs, money management workshops, counselling to help with loneliness and isolation.

Coronavirus Community Support Fund

"The fund aims to:1) To reduce closures of essential charities that provide essential services to vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 crisis by ensuring they have the financial resources to operate, thereby reducing the burden on public services.2) To ensure essential services are provided to vulnerable people, both in the short and long term through increased community support through the work of charitable organisations."

Saturday Social Young people will prepare and share a weekly meal, identify ways in which their areas could be improved, discuss ideas of importance and devise social action and volunteering activities or campaigns to address them.

Exploring loneliness with their young people and considering how their existing provision could address young loneliness before piloting some of their ideas.
