Common questions
What kinds of venue is it for?
Any organisation that manages rooms and takes bookings. Community centres run halls, meeting rooms, kitchens and outdoor spaces, with regular hirers, one-off events and community group discounts. Village halls use it for a single venue with straightforward pricing, run by parish councils and hall committees. Churches, mosques, temples and synagogues manage community use alongside worship schedules. Youth centres track which groups use their activity rooms, sports halls and music studios, and when. Sports facilities book pitches, courts and changing rooms by time slot, with peak and off-peak pricing. Arts venues hire out studios, galleries, rehearsal spaces and performance halls, with add-ons for lighting, sound and staging. Training centres price classrooms, IT suites and seminar rooms per person, with projectors and whiteboards as add-ons. Coworking spaces offer hot desks, meeting rooms and event spaces with hourly or membership-based pricing and real-time availability. Councils manage venues across several sites, with network-level reporting for councillors and funders.
How does clash detection work?
Plinth checks for conflicts in real time across rooms and linked spaces. Rooms that share a wall can be set to block each other, so booking one flags the other. Clashes are flagged before you can carry on with the booking.
How do recurring bookings work?
A booking can repeat daily, weekly or monthly. Each date is then managed on its own, so you can approve, deny, cancel or reschedule one session without touching the rest.
Can we take payment for bookings?
Yes, through Stripe: card payments online, invoicing, and recording payments made another way. The price breakdown shows the cost per date, per room and per equipment item, and discounts and fees are calculated as the booking is built.
